Silver Mounted Pernambuco Marco Raposo Viola Bow

Previously an achetier for Water Violet Music, Marco Raposo established his own workshop in 1995. The workshop, home to five bow makers now, is located in the mountains of Brazil’s Atlantic forest, the heartland for the Pernambuco tree from which the finest bows are made. Mindful of conservation efforts, the workshop specializes in reclaimed wood, carefully producing handmade bows for the violin family of instruments, with more affordable options utilizing semi-finished frogs from Bogaro & Clemente in Italy.
