Otto R. Pfret(Z)schner Violin Bow, Aproximately 1935.

Featured in Metropolitan Music Company’s 1935 Catalog for New York City and the American Market, these trade bows stamped “Otto Pfretschner” were made in Germany prior to WWII. Though they are missing the “Z” from the proper family name, workmanship is consistent with shop bows from the Pfretszchner family.
