An Ernst Kreusler Violin Bow Circa 1920
An attractive full size violin bow for sale was made by the Ernst Kreusler factory in Dresden, GERMANY c 1920. This bow is stamped Ernst Kreusler above the ebony frog and GERMANY at the butt. It is very nice pernambuco wood bow that has a nickel mount and a silver winding grip. The Kreusler Violin Bow has a round stick that has a good camber and is straight and strong. The bow draws a more neutral to bright tone out of the violin, changing an instrument’s tonal characteristics very little; it projects well. There is no damage to the Kreusler, though it has some slight wear on the stick above the frog.
