An English Violin Bow By H. Byrom, Canterbury.

A beautiful English violin bow by H. Byrom of Canterbury, a pupil of W. E. Hill & Sons achetier, Arthur Bultitude. Octagonal pernambuco stick mounted in silver and ebony, with whalebone lapping, engraved silver flower ‘eye’ decorating both faces of the frog, and matching three-piece silver button with pearl inlaid into the facets of the ebony ring, ivory tip facing, and a final, perfectly balanced weight of precisely 59 grams. Competing in performance and tonal quality against bows greater than twice the price and highly recommended for clarity and easy of articulations and the gamut of off the string strokes.
