A Violin from Bubenruth by Clement & Weise, 2002.
Made in 2002, this Clement & Weise violin represents the early production of the workshop Kraus L. Clement (1956-) established in Bubenruth with partner, Hagen Weise in 2000. Clement was born in Bavaria and apprenticed with Karl Hoefner before entering the employ of Roderick Paesold in 1984, for whom he worked until 1995. He was certified as a master craftsman in Nuremberg in 1987 and established his own workshop for personal works in 2000. I can proudly say this is the best of these workshop instruments I have seen, from the wood selection to detailed craftsmanship and richly hued, highly translucent and shaded varnish. A must try in this price range.
