A Good Violin Bow After Eury by Nicolas Caraccio

A meticulously detailed and highly aesthetic silver mounted violin bow after Eury, with a large oval eye in mother of pearl, a meticulously copied ivory button, and whalebone lapping; the work of Nicolas Caraccio, demonstrating exquisite, nuanced playing properties. The stick, of a denser pernambuco with a more supple than strong quality and easy action through the gamut of articulations, with a broad but buoyant and highly modular sound that generally enhances the natural color of an instrument’s timbre. This bow was just recently acquired from the collection of a retired New York Philharmonic musician, is balanced at 62.2 grams, and presently ready for audition and trial.
