A Silver Mounted German Cello Bow by Kurt Dolling
Most highly regarded for their bow making, the Dolling family has been active in the German violin making world since the mid 1800’s.
Kurt Dolling (1909-1990) was raised in the family traditions and pursued a life in bow making to great success; a very fine craftsman, whose bows are well made and held in high esteem. This silver mounted cello bow likely dates to the 1960’s and has a particularly fine, delicately shaped head.
Consistent response, bright sound, and easy spiccato.
