A Modern Italian violin from Florence by Lorenzo Belardi, 2023.

Lorenzo Belardi (b. 1978) is native of Florence, Italy, and initially learned the craft of violin making largely himself, frequenting different workshops for guidance and inspiration. He more formally apprenticed with Luca Primon, another Luthier from Trentino who taught violin making at the Scuola Civica in Milan for 25 years. After Primon passed, Luca sought guidance from David Sora in Cremona, a relationship that continues as his characterful work develops refinement and recognition.

This Italian violin from Florence by Lorenzo Belardi was closed in 2023 but only just completed. It features a beautiful selection of tone woods, with a slab-cut single-piece maple back of 357mm, and modest, well-shaded antiquing.
