Mid-Century German Sivori Violin Bow In Nickel
A mid-century German “Sivori” violin bow. Also stamped “Germany” behind the frog and with a diamond emblem framing an “R.” Although I’ve heard people say these bows were a lower level line from the Nurnberger shop, I’ve always associated that secondary stamp with the Alfons Reidl workshop, but yet another luthier insists they are from the Roth shop!
Needless to say, a good trade bow. Suitable for the advancing student or perhaps as a professionals inexpensive backup or outdoor bow. Nickel mounted.
