A Mid 19th Century Viola Bow, School of Peccatte

An interesting mid 19th century viola bow of French origin attributed as “School of Peccatte” with a later silver mounted frog and button; tinsel on silk lapping with a black lizard leather thumb grip and a balanced weight of 69.7 grams. Very reminiscent of a Fonclause I once had, albeit not as graceful. Nonetheless, a strong stick with a classical camber and a strikingly exotic appearance.
