Morizot Freres Violin Bow, France

The Morizot Freres were second generation bow makers, the five sons of the illustrious Louis Morizot who trained with their father and continued the family tradition after assuming leadership of the atelier and company in 1937; from 1920, they worked under their father who refined his craft under the direction of Eugène Cuniot-Hury, Charles Nicolas Bazin, and Eugene Sartory. Together, they won several awards in Paris and supplied bows to virtually every violin maker in Mirecourt and many others throughout France.
