A fine and highly representative specimen of the desirable German maker, Carl Albert Nurnberger’s personal work, dating to the 1930’s. C.A. Nurnberger (1885-1971) rose to prominence among the ranks of German artisan’s in the 1920’s, a maker who’s work can be characterized as elegant, refined, and always highly consistent in both quality and performance attributes. Silver mounted, presenting with very little wear, its original ivory faceplate, and silver lapping for a final balanced weight of 73.5 grams. Vibrant and immediately pleasing in the hand, with superb tracking, effortless response through the gamut of articulations, and a focused core to the sound - crisp but modular and rich in overtones.
