A Good S/E Emile Dupree Cello Bow

A good 20th century cello bow of octagonally carved pernambuco stamped “Emile Dupree” to the player side handle and “France” behind the frog. Ebony and silver mounted, with an ivory tip facing; all parts original, and featuring a final balanced weight of 79.2 grams. Prices for this trade name vary wildly, and speculation or misinformation about which German shop produced them, save that they were made for a period of time shortly after World War II. As such, it is simply offered as a good German bow and represented by its merits as a tool. Drawing a round warmer sound, with crisp articulation, consistent tracking, and easy maneuvering through character changes and articulations.
