Thomas Dignan worked for Bein & Fushi from 1979-1982 and established an independent workshop in Boston the following year, in 1983. He is internationally recognized for the quality of his craftsmanship and technical artistry, the accolades for which include 17 awards. Notably, gold medals from the Violin Society of America in 1986 and 1992, and from the International Society of Bassists in 2003.
