A Brescian Inspired American Violin by Edward Ryan Miller, 2016
Edward Ryan Miller began making violins in 2012 under the tutelage of Nicolas Stephen Frirsz, a gold medal award winning Fifth Generation Master from Hungary. As an accomplished artist and lover of classical music, Ryan took an interest in violins as a way to work in a three dimensional space. Under Frirsz he built a foundation for both craftsmanship and aesthetic, developing a style of his own. Ryan’s instruments are striking in appearance and possess a soulful darker low end tone yet a bright clear higher register.
Featuring a deep brown and heavily antiqued aesthetic with characteristically Brescian inspired stylings at a truly reasonable price for a contemporary American violin maker, this violin boasts a voice with every bit as much character as you would hope from its appearance.
