A 7/8 Cello For Restoration, Circa 1800, Possibly English
Until I have the time and wherewithal to tackle this restoration, I am offering this instrument as is, for restoration, and at a wholesale price. Retail estimate after the considerable work it requires is $15-20,000. Beech ribs and scroll, grafted. Most probably, some sort of Saxon, but there are a few details which suggest an English origin as a less likely possibility. Curious, but delightful.
